CAN REALITY TV BETTING BE THE WAY FORWARD FOR ONLINE BETTING?

Betting is an activity that has taken place for generations. Thousands, if not millions of people across the country have benefited from the numerous betting shops on the high streets. Nowadays, betting is more a recreational hobby, with people betting on football matches, sporting events and of course the famous Grand National. But not only do people bet, but they bet with their friends.

Betting has become an activity to take part in with your friends, often in competition with one another - seeking the sheer thrill of potentially winning back the money you paid in, several times over. But perhaps you do the same thing every year? Every year you might wait for the same football match, the same world cup match, the same sporting event. Or maybe you’re just waiting for the next time you can get dressed up and go to the Grand National, rain or shine!

Betting can be good fun, and it doesn’t have to involve huge amounts of money. Bookies now offer you the chance to bet on nearly anything you like. You may even want to bet on your chances of living to a hundred. It seems that anything that is prominent in a society offers you a good chance to place a bet, either alone, or with and against your friends.

What’s more prominent in society and amongst TV-lovers everywhere, than reality TV shows? The last decade has seen the biggest increase in both the amount of reality TV shows on television, and the amount of interest from people who watch the shows, and vote for contestants on the shows.

Reality TV shows occur constantly throughout the year, in forms of music and entertainment competitions, singing competitions like X Factor or American Idol. Even the Academy Awards could be something you can bet on! The list is near endless, with shows like Big Brother, Last Comic Standing, the Emmy Awards, BAFTA awards, Hell’s Kitchen, Survivors and I’m a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here!

Betting on reality TV shows is no doubt the way forward in betting. As sport events continue into their millionth match, and the Grand National continues every year, gathering hundreds of people in hats to a rainy and mud-filled field - you can be at home enjoying the reality TV shows you love, and betting on them in the mean time. Betting in this sense can be solely recreation, a fun thing to do with your friends - allowing you to decide on the person you want to win at the beginning of the show, and waiting until the end of the season to see if you’ve hit the money.

This very much makes the entertainment factor that little bit more intensive. Not to mention, reality TV shows aren’t restricted to a certain time of year. You can assume that when one show’s season is ending, another one is starting - and so the fun can start all over again. The future is betting on reality TV, and the sooner you start, the sooner you can be having fun with it.
